Fun Family Portraits

I like these ones so much more than your stiffly posed ones...maybe that is what we should try with our family picture this year...hmmm especially seeing as the ones we took a couple days ago where ghastly, to put it mildly...ugh.

These pics on the LO were taken back in the last 60's...or maybe as 'late' as 1970. They are so neat. Actually I discovered a few such great shots among the negatives I've been sent. No doubt you'll be seeing them sometime too.

Gypsy Couture's new 'Subtle Shift' Page Set was what I used. It looks suitable old/faded and worn, while still having fresh greenery and super metal and wooden bits. take a look :

The alpha is really FUN!

Now if all goes according to plan, I shall have this LO as a QP freebie for you later today...but don't hold your breath...I'm not gonna hold mine!

....and here we are...I may even have been OK if I held my breath!!! hehehe

I'm working, really I am....

Pictures/previews for this page have been removed due to Designers retiring and stores closing

I'm busy getting gift albums ready, and that always takes more time than one thinks!! I was delighted to get my first Shutterfly book in the mail this week. I am now persuaded that that is the finest way to scrap and print those heritage pictures of mine.

It is getting to be that time of the year again...Autumn, it is so beautiful as the leaves are starting to turn, especially on the maples. I did this LO last night with pictures taken in 2004. Yes I'm that far (and further) behind. I tend to scrap all over the place on the timeline. Whatever takes my fancy. Random is the word I think...

The kit I used is by Saxon Holt called "Swirling Leaves" click the LO for links and credits.

I'm off to grab lunch and make progress on my albums!

Ouma and I

Pictures/previews for this page have been removed due to Designers retiring and stores closing

I have the most wonderful memories of my Ouma (Grandma). She lived with us, for as long as I could remember and I love her dearly. Of course she has long since passed away, but in my memory she will live forever. If my mother taught me about the beauty of flowers in our garden, then Ouma taught me about the beauty of wild flowers. She loved them all, weeds were just pretty flowers to her and she would always find interesting and beautiful things to draw to my attention to....like she is doing here in these pictures, even if I don't seem quite as interested. We were on holiday when these were taken and I probably wanted the beach....or nothing else LOL.

The beauty and fun of digital scrapping is that I can use the same pictures repeatedly and scrap them suited to the people the album/LO/book is destined for. This purple one, is heading for my album.

I used Kimberly Stewart's "Beautiful Memories" for it (and a template by Kim Wresh, n/a)

The this next one is for the Shutterfly book for my parents.

Rina Kroes' "Some Enchanted Morning Stacked Papers" and "Clustered Frames" made this one super quick to do. The wordart was a freebie, also by Rina, and will be available in her store shortly. You can see the available Wordart HERE.

I think, in honour of Ouma, I shall scrap these pictures once more, for her, using wildflowers.
Here's to you Ouma! and thank you so much.......if I had the wings of a sparrow, away to my home I would fly.....
